Why HomeWatch exists.
Most home cameras send your footage to someone else’s servers and charge a monthly fee to see it. HomeWatch does without both.
The idea
AI used to need a data center. Now it fits inside a camera. That means there’s no reason to upload every clip of your front door to a company’s cloud just to find out whether it was a person or a raccoon. HomeWatch keeps the camera, the AI and your video on hardware you own, and uses your phone as the screen.
Where it stands
HomeWatch is up and running: a weatherproof camera with on-device AI, streaming to an iPhone app. It’s coming soon. Our Apple Developer enrollment is underway, and the roadmap shows what’s next.
How it’s being built
HomeWatch is an independent project by Veilix Labs LLC. The software is written with AI-assisted development; the product decisions, hardware and real-world testing are done by its builder. The technical overview explains the design, and security and privacy explains how your data is protected.

- Buy it, own it. We only charge for things that cost us money to run. Features that run on your own hardware are free, forever.
- Nothing to hide. The software that connects your phone to your camera is open source, so anyone can check our privacy claims.
